Let’s talk licenses – the ones that actually protect your family, your customers, and your business.
Pest control is more than spraying around the perimeter and calling it a day. In New Jersey, it’s a regulated industry for a reason. We’re handling chemicals that, when used incorrectly, can be harmful to people, pets, and the environment. That’s why I hold multiple pesticide applicator licenses issued by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection (DEP)—and I take them seriously.
My Licenses (And What They Mean for You)
Business License #92157B
This means Dan Can Home Services is officially certified by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) to operate as a pest control business. We’re not just out here winging it. We’re recognized by the state—and held accountable.
Responsible Certified Applicator: Dan Latini – License #63262B
As the certified applicator, I’m the one who signs off on every treatment plan. My name is on the line, and I take that responsibility seriously.
Here’s What I’m Certified In:
- Core Certification
This is the foundation every licensed applicator must have. It means I’ve passed the state-required training and exam on pesticide laws, safety, environmental protection, and proper application methods. - 7A – General & Household Pest Control
This allows me to treat pests like ants, roaches, and silverfish in homes, offices, restaurants, and more. This is the bread-and-butter license for everyday pest work. - 7B – Termite & Wood-Destroying Insects
Termites are no joke. They can cause serious structural damage if not caught early. With this license, I’m certified to inspect for and treat termites using state-approved methods. - 8B – Public Health Pest Control
This includes pests that pose health risks—like mosquitoes and ticks. I’m trained to reduce those populations safely while protecting your family, pets, and local environment. - 13 – Integrated Pest Management in Schools
This one’s huge. Schools require extra care. I’m certified to provide safe, effective pest control inside New Jersey schools while following strict state IPM (Integrated Pest Management) protocols. Not every pest company can do this—this certification shows I’m equipped to handle sensitive environments.
Coming Soon: Licenses 7D & Beyond
I’m currently working on expanding into food processing facilities with my 7D certification. With my background in restaurant and food safety, this license will open new doors to help commercial clients stay compliant and pest-free.
Why This Should Matter to You
Here’s the truth: not all pest control companies are playing by the rules. Some hire new, unlicensed techs, give them a crash course, and send them out under the owner’s license. That’s not just risky – it’s illegal.
I run things differently.
- No shortcuts. No gimmicks. No fear tactics.
- I use the right license for the right job.
- I take time to educate my customers (at no additional cost).
- I prioritize safety, effectiveness, and long-term solutions – not upsells.
I may be a small business, but I do things the right way – and that’s how I’ve earned the trust of families and businesses across Ocean, Monmouth, Burlington, and Mercer counties.
